Keeping Busy with the Fall Opportunity!

I had a busy but successful week, with three home piano tunings in the northeast part of my service area.

On September 9, I traveled to Elizabeth City to the home of Shirley Dunbar, in the Dances Bay area. She has a Whitney (by Kimball) spinet, which got a first tuning but will require a revisit. Thirty years is a long time to go without a tuning!

The next day, I traveled to Roper, just east of Plymouth, to tune the home piano of Emily Phillips. Her Aeolian upright tuned up nicely, but a hammer shaft broke during the process. A little Elmer's wood glue and a clamp worked, and she's ready to play again!

On September 11, I traveled to Edenton to tune a Lawrence Academy student's piano. Katharine Farless's daughter will be starting piano lessons soon, and Katharine wanted it in good tune! This Howard (by Baldwin) spinet, like the EC one, got a first tuning but will require a revisit.

Remember my September (almost fall, y'all!) special...any home piano tuned for only $50! Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
