Last Class "Hits It Out of the Park!"

During our last Kid's Piano class at BCCC last Thursday, the students showed their music skills by playing "Music Baseball" using the wheel. Teams spun the wheel for anything from a strike to a home run, then answered the musical question. If they were correct, the player advanced around the bases for an eventual run; if they were incorrect, it counted as an out. The girl's team dominated in a 6 - 0 rout!

Afterward, they learned how to play "Merrily We Roll Along" with the right hand (melody) using all five fingers, and they were fantastic! Each student was rewarded at the end of class with a certificate of achievement, and had a photo op with their parent(s). Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I hope to do this again soon!
